Pre season training is available to U14/U16 athletes starting on 30th April to 6th June 2018. The 6 week programme will be delivered by Kelsie Campbell who will run two sessions per week on Monday and Wednesday at 4:00pm - 5:00pm in the Wakatipu High School gymnasium.
The focus will be on improving muscular strength and metabolic conditioning for alpine ski racing so the athletes are ready for the demands of training once the season starts and also to reduce the risk of injury.
Pre testing and post testing will be done during the first and last session of the training block.
Training dates are as follows: Mon 30th Apr, Wed 2nd May, Mon 7th May, Wed 9th May, Mon 14th May, Wed 16th May, Mon 21st May, Wed 23rd May, Mon 28th May, Wed 30th May, Tue 5th Jun (due to Queen's Birthday), Wed 6th Jun.
